Ī sociable person, Ronald is fond of parties. Nevertheless, he is willing to work hard when necessary. Spears and Grelle Sutcliff for their "easier" jobs. He seeks to accomplish his duties as swiftly as possible, as he dislikes working overtime he once expressed envy toward William T. Ronald is a carefree, even-tempered individual who is frequently tardy. The words "Death Scythe" are engraved on the front. The Death Scythe comprises two wheels four circular blades, with two straight blades set horizontal to them a handle and a small cord that activates the Death Scythe upon being pulled. Ronald's Death Scythe has been modified to resemble a lawnmower, on the principle of avoiding overtime. He often dresses in a suit, tie, gloves, dress shoes, and occasionally a hat. Ronald wears thick-framed, pentagon glasses and a watch on his right wrist. Like other Grim Reapers, he has chartreuse phosphorescent eyes. Even if you're a big fan of the series (perhaps especially then), give this one a miss and hope they do better next time if they decide to adapt more of the manga.Ronald is a young man with short blond hair and the underside of his hair dyed black, as well as a cowlick at the right side of his hair. As it is, this movie was a huge waste of time and money, reflected by its terrible box office in North America. The characters being shocked to find out about it was a total wash, because they already knew, or at least they should have if this movie followed the canon of the original anime.Īll in all, this movie would have been fantastic if it were intended to be a stand-alone or introduction to the series, rather than the *fifth major installment*. That's right: this movie used a" plot twist" that they had already used in the initial series. The fact that the Undertaker is a famous, powerful Reaper is a plot point that *already played out in season one*. The entire scene jarred me out of my immersion in the story, because it wasn't a twist at all. Two of the major plot twists (and I use this term very loosely) shown in the movie are nonsensical, especially the movie's ending "twist", the fact that the Undertaker is a Shinigami in disguise. mentioning, since it is easily forgettable and lends nothing to any given moment. The background music is barely even worth The mixture of CGI and traditional animation is clunky and poorly executed at best. It comes off as a shameless cash-in on a popular franchise, which ignores parts of the story as told up to this point in an attempt to pull off its big plot twists. This movie throws all of that out the window. The characters are well-rounded, and the story is fairly consistent within its own boundaries. It is well paced, with lovingly crafted animation and beautiful sound. Kuroshitsuji is a well-known, well-loved series, with a fascinating story and an interesting take on Victorian England. I am not even lying, the first time I watched this movie I had to pause because I thought I was going to piss myself from laughter. On top of the classic gore and being on the verge of tears, there is also some of the absolute funniest scenes in the entire show. Again there's a bunch of new characters as well as bringing back some old favorites. this one but Snake gets some good screen time. Finny, Baldroy, and Mey Rin aren't big in This is a great continuation of the arcs, directly coming from the end of the last one. And the plot twists? OH MY JESUS I was screaming. If you're like me and LOVE flashbacks and learning more about the characters, strap in because it's a lot in this one. This movie has the story we've all been waiting for. For reference, I'm writing this assuming you've already seen all the other Black Butler content up to this point.
